Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kontent Engine. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. This is a placeholder draft — final terms will be reviewed by legal counsel before general availability.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kontent Engine ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights).
  • Transmit spam, malware, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or incites violence.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Automate account creation, misrepresent account affiliation, or evade rate limits.
  • Publish AI-generated content to platforms whose terms prohibit it without proper disclosure.

4. Content Ownership

You retain all rights to the source content you upload and to the generated output. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content as necessary to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of your workspace data and will not use it to train third-party models without explicit opt-in.

5. Third-Party Integrations

The Service connects to third-party platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Rumble, Mailchimp, and others). Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for changes to third-party APIs that may disrupt publishing.

6. Credits, Billing, and Refunds

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. Credits are consumed as content is generated and published. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. Pay-as-you-go credit packs do not expire but are non-refundable once purchased. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or force majeure events may cause temporary disruptions. No refunds or credits are issued for outages shorter than 24 hours.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, non-payment, or conduct that harms other users. You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Billing. Upon termination, we will retain your data for 30 days before permanent deletion to allow export.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing content before publication.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kontent Engine and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the fees you paid in the preceding twelve months.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-product at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
